Dr. Elsie Koh, MD

Dr. Elsie KohDr. Koh treats patients with varicose veins using the most pain free, most up-to-date treatment methods. Full consultation includes a dedicated ultrasound exam, and treatment options include radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, and/or miniphlebectomy.  Patients can expect to return to work immediately, and many patients often do not require pain medications.

Her new office is fully equipped with an operating room containing modern x-ray and ultrasound equipment, VNUS closure device; and numerous endovascular tools. There is a digital photography and sclerotherapy room, recovery area, and video viewing room.

She received a B.S. in psychology from Brown University and M.D. from Tuft’s University School of Medicine. She finished her radiology residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital and her interventional radiology fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital where she was praised by her attendings and support staff to be among the “best fellow” the training program has ever had.

She is board certified in Diagnostic and Vascular & Interventional Radiology. She has worked on staff as an Assistant Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas for one year. Then, she joined a radiology group at Passaic Beth Israel Hospital in Passaic, NJ for 2.5 years. She has currently been working for Access Care Physicians since 2005 to concentrate on endovascular procedures in their growing, state-of-the-art facilities.

She has performed more than 5000 image guided procedures, and has presented on varicose vein management and dialysis access treatment at national meetings such as the Radiological Society of North America, Society of Interventional Radiology, Advanced Interventional Management and Hemodialysis Access.

Dr. Koh enjoys the patient contact and performing delicate and sophisticated procedures requiring excellent hand-eye coordination.
